Just ordered... LBD

I've just ordered this very simple little black dress. I had (well, still have) one that looks like this one, it was a perfect little black dress to take with you on a holiday, or to wear to work or a party, very easy to combine and with a perfect fitting. The one I have is very old and even has small holes in it, so I can't wear it anymore but I can't throw it out either. I have been looking for a perfect dress like that for ages, so maybe this is it. The good news is, this one came with a very small price tag en can be easily returned if the size doesn't fit, or the material or shape isn't what you had in mind.

Ik heb zojuist dit simpele zwarte jurkje besteld via Zalando.nl. Ik had, nouja ik heb nog steeds, een jurkje dat hier op lijkt en het was echt the perfect little black dress. Een super jurkje om mee te nemen op vakantie (want op verschillende manieren te combineren) of om te dragen naar mijn werk of naar een feestje. Het jurkje is gemaakt van simpel jersey- katoen en had voor mij echt de perfecte pasvorm! Helaas is hij inmiddels echt op hele hoge leeftijd en er zitten wat kleine gaatjes in. Kortom, niet echt meer te dragen en ik ben dus al tijden op zoek naar een soortgelijk 'perfect' zwart jurkje. Misschien is dit een goed alternatief! Het goede nieuws is bovendien, deze heeft een klein (fijn) prijsje en is gemakkelijk te retourneren als de maat, het materiaal of de pasvorm niet goed is.

Holiday look on a budget.

Ik ben gek op netaporter.com, Debijenkorf.nl, Katespade.com en nog een aantal andere dure webshops. Maar uiteindelijk is het een grotere uitdaging om een mooie outfit samen te stellen binnen een (beperkt) budget. Behalve de schoenen (circa €150) zijn alle bovenstaande items onder de €100, het jurkje is zelfs maar €23,95 en de groene vintage-look oorbellen zijn van Asos en zijn ook onder de €30. Zo zie je maar dat er mooi uitzien gewoon een kwestie is van goed zoeken, goed combineren en kiezen voor een paar multifunctionele items die je in een handomdraai een andere uitstraling geeft door het gebruik van accessoires.

I love browsing through netaporter.com, Katespade.com and a few other (expensive but lovely)webshops. But eventually it is a bigger challenge to create great looks within a tight budget. Except for the shoes, wich were around €150, every displayed item is priced under a €100. The dress is only €23,95 and the green vintage-looking earrings are from Asos and are €26,96. So it is easy to look good on a budget, you just have to search for the right items that are versatile and easy to combine. Using (different) jewelry creates a completely different look.

Here´s what makes the Boyfriend happy

Besides a really good dinner, (quality time with) me, a soccer match on tv, drinks with friends etc. my boyfriend likes nice clothing and in particular (handmade) shoes! He loves this brand (Caulaincourt), especially since we found the store in Paris where you can choose you fav. pair of blanco shoes and the designer/owner paints them by hand in the color or pattern that you want. You can even send him photo's of patterns/landscapes/flowers, whatever you like, and he creates a matching pair of (ridiculous beautiful) shoes. Amazing right? So if you're going to splurge on Christmas gifts, make your boyfriend happy and buy these unique shoes in a color he loves (or matching to his favorite shirt/bow tie/cufflinks).

They look so sweet together! I love Olivia´s polkadot blouse and flowy-flirty white skirt.  I'm not too much of a fan for the sunglasses Olivia is wearing in this picture, would love to see her classic cat-eyed (Audrey inspired) glasses or Ray-Ban's with this outfit. Johannes´ outfit is something my boyfriend would instantly wear, Lucky me!
